This was a wondeful weekend, enjoyed by everyone who attanded. The festival was officially opened at 6pm on Friday 5th July by our very own Tracey Wilson, Headteacher at Lumley Infant and Nursery School. On Saturday, Willing Hands Charity and Lumley Infant and Nursery School were sited in the Methodist Church, where Ugandan art made by the pupils was on display. We also had displays highlighting the book ‘The Magical T-Shirt’ and pictures from our visit to Africa in February 2018. Margaret Stewart hosted a craft stall where her handmade cards, many of which were African themed, were on display - and proved very popular with the visitors. On Saturday at 3pm children of the Lumley Infant and Nursery School choir sang a selection of songs on the stage at the Festival - it was ‘standing room only’!’
